Free Gingerbread Shape House

Updated: Dec 23, 2021

It's difficult to keep little learners 'on track' in the lead up to the holiday season. Their minds are filled with Christmas treats and present requests.

So how do you keep them learning before Christmas break?

Simple. Introduce some seasonal activities that have a curriculum spin to them!

Kindergarten students will love these sweet gingerbread houses with their mix and match shaped windows.

Simply download the free PDF file (see link below) and print one house per student.

Decorate them and then select some shaped windows to glue on. There are several shapes to select from including triangle, square, rectangle, oval and circle.

Once completed, students can use the writing sheet to record how many of each shaped window are on their gingerbread house.

Don't forget the door can also have a window!

There are two writing options in this download, trace the word or a blank line where students can write down the correct word for each shape. There is a colourful poster included for students to copy the word if needed.

Glue the writing sheet to the bottom and display it on your classroom wall!
